As the global consumer electronics show season heats up, MK Sound makes its presence felt at major events around the world with new and updated loudspeaker systems that are generating good “buzz” wherever we go.
In early August, Asger Bak attended two key South East Asian events on the same weekend.

The 19th Taiwan Audio Association Taipei Hi-End Hi-Fi Audio Show 2009,
August 7 – 10, Sheraton Hotel Taipei

Hotel-based events seem to always be more relaxed and informal and this well- run show was no exception, in spite of the devastation caused in the region by Typhoon Morakat. As part of the state of emergency measures, the government had declared that all workers should remain home. No doubt partly because a huge number of people suddenly had the day off, attendance at the show was excellent.
Making a solid impression at the large event where major brands worldwide were represented, MK Sound’s distributor Keep Running did a fantastic job with a well-planned, creative presentation. As usual, Mr. and Mrs. Sunny led a skilled and enthusiastic team with Daniel as sales manager. The leading attraction at the stand was the new 950 system which received a very warm reception. Asger took part in the product launch and would like to extend his thanks for an interesting visit and the gracious hospitality of his hosts. Special thanks to Michel for translating.

Hong Kong High End AV Show 2009
August 7 - 9, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

This annual showcase for the full spectrum of audio-video gear claims to be the largest event of its kind in Southeast Asia and, after being there, we have no cause to doubt that claim.
Organized by highly respected Audiotechnique magazine, rather than a trade organization, the show has its own unique atmosphere, attracting well established high end contenders and start-up wannabees from all corners of the globe.
MK Sound distributor Miro Sound & Vision did their usual outstanding job, assembling the show’s largest and most inviting stand. After three days of non-stop demonstrations of the new 1611P active monitor, Ricky had definitely earned the right to a long rest. Also on display, the updated 2510P active monitor and 950 home cinema system were prominently featured, generating extremely positive response.
