The Professional Surround Sound SolutionTailor-made for the uniquely demanding acoustic environment to the sides or rear of the main listening area, the MK Professional M4T Tripole multi-polar rear channel speaker is voice-matched for MK Professional main speakers, providing the benefits of MK Professional’s exclusive Tripole technology in a remarkably compact and affordable package. While cinemas generate an impressive rear soundfield with an array of multiple pairs of traditional monopoles, this is not a viable solution in a typical studio environment, due to space limitations and shorter distances between speaker and listener. Dipolar surrounds produce an enveloping surround field that closely matches a movie theatre, but at the expense of the ability to generate a specific, focused image. Optimized for side or rear placement, the MK Professional M4T Tripole speaker simultaneously operates as a dipole (from its left and right side baffles) and a monopole (from its front baffle), combining the diffuse, spacious sound of a dipole speaker with the imaging specificity of a direct radiator. The M4T Tripole employs MK Professional’s exclusive Phase Focused crossovers for uncannily realistic sound with fast transient response, razor-sharp imaging and accurate soundstaging. Time Domain Analysis, Frequency Domain Analysis and Points-in-Space analysis (three-dimensional analysis of the speaker’s actual in-room response) ensure extraordinarily even dispersion of sound throughout the room across a broad listening area with superior imaging and sound quality.
